AWS StackPack

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a major cloud provider. This StackPack enables in-depth monitoring of the following AWS services:

  • Elastic Load Balancer (ELB)
  • API gateway
  • Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
  • Elastic Container Services (ECS)
  • Lambda
  • DynamoDB
  • Simple Storage Service (S3)
  • Relational Database Service (RDS)
  • Simple Notification Service (SNS)
  • Kinesis

StackState maps CloudWatch telemetry onto your AWS components, monitoring their health and alerting you to issues when necessary.

Running StackState and AWS StackPack in AWS

It is possible to run both StackState and the AWS StackPack in AWS. When using VPCs, the AWS StackPack and StackState must run inside the same VPC. Alternatively, StackState must be configured to accept incoming data from the internet.

Running AWS StackPack on multiple AWS instances

StackState supports working with multiple AWS instances. Instances are identified by accountId field, which is mandatory when using multiple instances of AWS. This accountId is also passed by AWS Lambda function.
