Problem notifications

StackState Self-hosted v4.5.x

This page describes StackState v4.5.x. The StackState 4.5 version range is End of Life (EOL) and no longer supported. We encourage customers still running the 4.5 version range to upgrade to a more recent release.

Go to the documentation for the latest StackState release.

Problems in StackState generate events that can be used to trigger event notifications.

Send notifications for problem events

To send a notification when problem events are generated:

  1. Install the Slack StackPack.

  2. Select the view that contains the elements for which you would like to receive notifications.

  3. Use the Manage Event Handlers pane to add an event handler that listens to problem events.

You can create a custom event handler function to trigger actions or send notifications to systems other than Slack in response to problem events.
